Literacy Day - Reading is Fun in North Lauderdale was truly beautiful as our kids were engaged and inspired. We had the pleasure of having the portrait of Harriet Tubman, which was painted by the phenomenal artist, Andy Ballentine. Also, the dancers from Love Thy Nation were amazing. Thanks to everyone who supported us in making this event such a success.

Our literacy program is alive and well!  A huge THANK YOU to our kids in Sierra Leone, West Africa.

Aiding-Aids, Inc collaborated with Feeding Hands and fed the homeless in Downtown Miami, we also provided toiletries and some clothing.  

Our mission was to attend to the homeless by providing them with blankets, socks and warmers as it was so cold. Gratitude!

Tons of fun, laughter and learning took place with kids , parents and educators.  

Literacy Day, reading is fun in Lauderdale Lakes was held in the Multicultural Auditorium at the Lauderdale City Hall instead of the library.  Our speakers were Attorneys Kaysia Earley and Tamar Hamilton. Thanks to Commissioner Karlene Maxwell Williams and the City of Lauderdale lakes for hosting and sponsoring us.

Feeding our homeless brothers and sisters continues to be one of our goals so on Saturday 4.25.2024 we executed a street feeding alongside community partners JWOF, Jamaica Women of Florida, Jerk Machine Restaurant, Portabella, Feeding Hands, JABA. Advanced America and Derache Juices.  It was a true ministry as we convoyed 10 vehicles strong and hit the roads to Ft. Lauderdale Transportation terminal. We served with compassion, humility and love! 

We launched Literacy Day, reading is fun in Miramar/Pembroke Pines.  Thanks to all our readers and sponsors.  Our speakers were Commissioner Maxwell Chambers, Attorney Kaysia Earley and Saran Earle-Cunningham.  Special guest Mr. Woodson who represented State Representative Marie Woodson addressed the children and parents.

Sept. 30th, 2023.  Launch of our toy drive for local and international distribution.

Sept. 10, 2023.  We celebrated my birthday and all virgos present.  This was so festive and warm hearted.  We served cupcakes with candles.  150 meals were served.  

Night feeding on Sept. 7th. We had 2 night feedings in this week, we fed over 120 folks to ensure that a few folks would not go to bed hungry.

Literacy Day, reading is fun in Lauderdale Lakes. Speakers were State Representative Marie Woodson and Broward County School Board rep Dr. Jeff Holness.  Our kids showed up and showed out.

We had a homeless street feeding on August 29, 2023.  Thanks to Commissioner Mark Spence for coming out on a last minute appeal for volunteers.

Sometimes we are challenged with multiple tasks.  We visited the Lippman Center to hand out book bags, 08.19.2023.   Then we had a night street feeding, served 70 homeless. 08.22.2023. Next, we shared items for shipment. All serving the underserved!

Prepping for Street Feeding on July 30th. 120 served.  August 5th, fed 300 at Hope.

On July 17th, we joined forces with Helping Hands Ministry to provide hot meals, water; pastries and juices to over 100 of our homeless brothers and sisters.

HOMELESS FEEDING - Saturday, 4.15.2023 . We provided food for 326 people. Thanks to Jerk Machine and all the volunteers who came out to support this event.

We collaborated with Vice Mayor Karlene Maxwell-Williams to make Easter special for the kids at Lippman. These kids were super appreciative. We thank them for allowing us to add value. Thanks to the children and staff. Special shout out to Alexa from FLIC.

Thank you with the utmost gratitude. We successfully fed the homeless on Saturday, March 11, 2023. Thanks to all our volunteers a special applaud to Catherine Malcolm of Jerk Machine for providing the yummy meal. Our homeless ate well and was most appreciative. Shout out to Sister Shirley of Helping Hands Ministry for their partnership, Marsha Mullings, Dr. Andrea Shepherd, Laurel Montique and all our team members and volunteers.

 100 meals for Overtown

Aiding-Aids, Jerk Machine, and C.A.R.E work together to prepare 100 delicious meals for individuals in need. 

150 Meal Vouchers for Parkway Middle School

In response to COVID-19, Aiding-Aids and Parkway Middle School sought to provide support to food-insecure households by providing 150 Jerk Rescue meal vouchers to families in need.

Kiwanis, one of North America's most popular non-profit organizations, collaborated with Jerk Machine and Aiding Aids Inc. to provide hot meals to the local community.

Aiding Aids Inc., Jerk Machine, and Family Ting work together to portion and serve meals to the homeless. 

Haiti Earthquake Relief 

With the help of some of South Florida's finest Non-Profit Organizations; Homeless Hearts, CARE Inc., Hope South Florida, Portabella, and Family Ting, Aiding Aids Inc. initiated this effort to collect, pack, and ship hundreds of relief items to those suffering from the catastrophic 7.2 magnitude earthquake that took place on August 14th, 2021.

Honor The Homeless Holiday Event In Overtown Miami

 Although Overtown is located just northwest of Downtown Miami, it has been deemed both the worst and the most underserved city in South Florida. In the Midst of this Global Pandemic, Homeless individuals line the streets of Overtown lacking proper PPE and social distancing procedures. Aiding-Aids, In collaboration with Jahnet's Jamaican Cusine, C.A.R.E, and volunteers from Daveon L. Hall Scholarship Fund Inc. took to the streets of Overtown Miami to feed, equip, and care for the homeless.

Aiding-Aids dedicated the day to serving individuals who received a free meal voucher to Jahnet's Jamaican Cuisine. 

Holidays​ In Haiti Donation Drive

As a generous Christmas gift, Aiding-Aids bought 100 toys for children in Haiti!

Jerk Rescue Meal Voucher Distribution 

In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, these meals were sponsored by the Plating Change Restaurant Initiative and prepared by Jerk Machine. Distribution was coordinated by Aiding-Aids, Inc. Aiding-Aids, Inc administers and coordinates all efforts to ensure distribution while collaborating with other local nonprofit organizations. 

Collaborating With Kawnis Members and Jerk Machine 

Kiwanis, an organization dedicated to helping families across the globe, met with Jerk Machine and Aiding-Aids to discuss action plans to fight food insecurity in the community.

100 Meals For Kiwanis 

Kiwanis, Jerk Machine, and Aiding-Aids volunteers worked like a well-oilded machine to get 100 hot meals packed and ready for distribution in less than 2 hours. 

Honor The Homeless Holiday Event In Sunrise 

This pandemic has taken much away from many people this year, but on December 14th, 2020 Aiding-Aids, in collaboration with Jerk Machine, Portabella, Homeless Hearts Food, and Hope South Florida gave back to the homeless population of the local community at the Honor the Homeless event. Many homeless individuals were given a full plate of authentic Jamaican cuisine prepared by the Jerk Machine restaurant!

COVID-19 has influenced higher rates of food insecurity in the community, Therefore, feeding the Homeless has never been more important than it is right now. That's why Aiding-Aids and Hope South Florida came together to serve 500 meals prepared by Jerk Machine to the homeless.
